$2.5M Awarded: John Rice KC & Hector Macdonald Secure Major Win for UBC Student in Severe Chronic Pain Disorder Case
John Rice KC and Hector Macdonald represented Megan Dhaliwal at trial for an injury claim arising out of a violent head-on motor vehicle collision which caused the Plaintiff to develop a severe chronic pain disorder, which profoundly altered the Plaintiff’s life and career as a young UBC finance student who aspired to work in the finance sector in wealth management or investment banking. Total damages awarded by the trial judge were more than $2.5 million, including a $2 million award for lifetime loss of future income earning capacity.
