Update – November 23, 2020
Rice Harbut Elliott LLP is no longer pursuing this class action litigation before the Quebec courts given the Court’s decision in Ouellet c. Lasik M.D. inc., 2020 QCCS 3863 – http://t.soquij.ca/Ct8d5 where “class certification” also known as “application to authorize” was refused.
We cannot offer to individually represent you in regards to this matter. If you wish to pursue individual litigation with respect to any possible Lasik injuries, we strongly recommend that you contact another law firm without delay and/or consider filing an individual lawsuit against LasikMD. We do note that laws of statutory limitation (termed “prescription” in Quebec) vary across the country, with most jurisdictions requiring a claim to be brought within 2 or 3 years.
