David HoneymanAssociate
David obtained his BA (Hons), MA and Juris Doctor degrees all from UBC and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2015. He has appeared as counsel at all levels of court in British Columbia and in Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. He has also appeared before various administrative boards and has extensive experience before the Parole Board of Canada and in other prison related administrative proceedings.
David joined Rice Harbut Elliott in 2024 and his practice focuses primarily on class action litigation. Prior to joining Rice Harbut Elliott, David represented plaintiffs in personal injury claims, Charter damages claims, class action proceedings, and constitutional challenges. He also assisted individuals in a variety of other proceedings including habeas corpus and administrative proceedings.

When not at work David spends time with his family and friends. His favourite activities include obeying his 2 year old daughter’s every command while carrying her on his shoulders, attempting to be handy around the house, playing and listening to music, reading and cycling.
