Rice Harbut Elliot has decades of experience prosecuting claims against individuals as well as institutions, arising from interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and physical assaults. While your assault may have not resulted in criminal charges being approved against the wrongdoer, that does not necessarily mean that you do not have a viable civil claim to compensate you for the injuries you suffered. In many cases, the wrongdoer’s homeowner insurance will cover your losses. Where the wrongdoer is uninsured, however, he or she would need to have assets to pay any settlement or judgment in your favour. In either case, our firm will undertake the necessary research to ensure that there are available funds to compensate you.
