Novakovic v. Wasylyshyn, 2006 BCSC 338
Working mother awarded damages including income loss and loss of opportunity.
Robert Burns and John Rice were trial counsel for the Plaintiff in a claim for damages arising out of two car crashes that occurred on March 31, 2001 and September 14, 2004. The Plaintiff says the accidents caused pain and injury to her neck and back and contributed to depression.
ICBC admitted fault for both of the Defendant drivers, however alleged the Plaintiff was exaggerating her case.
The trial judge awarded the Plaintiff damages for her injuries, for income loss, loss of opportunity to earn income, and some compensation for out of pocket expenses and future treatment.
